Marshall is 8-2 against Franklin since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Marshall Barristers will host the Franklin Panthers at 4:30 p.m. One thing working in Marshall's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.

Marshall is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Bravo 86-56. Given the Barristers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 537th, while the Knights are ranked 1254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Franklin played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 79-53 to Wilson. The Panthers have struggled against the Mules recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Marshall is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points per game. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Marshall came up short against Franklin when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 71-63. Can Marshall avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
