Crystal Springs Uplands extended their home winning streak to five games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Jimmy Naylor. The Gryphons took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 52-6 victory over the Hillbrook Bears thanks in part to Naylor, who rushed for 95 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 111 yards and four touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.

Crystal Springs Uplands didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Rikhav Shah and Eddy Wu.

Crystal Springs Uplands' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Crystal Springs Uplands and Hillbrook will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Gryphons see the field they'll take on Trinity Christian at 2:00 p.m. on October 4. As for Hillbrook, their break will end when they face Pinewood at 4:00 p.m. on the 26th.
