Football Game Preview: River Ridge Wildcats vs. Polo Marcos + How To Watch

River Ridge is 2-8 against Polo since August of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wildcats will square off against the Marcos at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

River Ridge barely beat Ashton-Franklin Center the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats blew past the Raiders, posting a 52-12 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Polo faced Orangeville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Marcos took their contest with ease, bagging a 54-8 victory over the Broncos. The result was nothing new for the Marcos, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Polo's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for River Ridge, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4.

River Ridge was taken down by Polo 56-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
