Rowan County came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Fleming County Panthers get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Vikings' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

The result came thanks to Jayson Ingles's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Will Richardson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

Rowan County's victory bumped their record up to 25-11. As for Fleming County, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-15.
