Basketball Recap: Starr's Mill Gets the Win + How To Watch

After losing to Tri-Cities the last time they met, Starr's Mill decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 54-42 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Lindsey Kopacek was a one-woman wrecking crew as she dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Aftyn Heiden was another key player, putting up 13 points and five boards.

Starr's Mill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Tri-Cities still got an impressive performance from Janiah Murray, who shot 46% from the field on her way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maleah Robinson, who posted five points.

Starr's Mill's record is now 2-0. As for Tri-Cities, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Starr's Mill will take on Central Gwinnett at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-Cities, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arabia Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
