Soccer Game Preview: Azle vs. Fossil Ridge

The Azle Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Fossil Ridge Panthers at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Azle's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Azle took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They skirted past Chisholm Trail 1-0.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Fossil Ridge's offense. They fell just short of Granbury by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Azle's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Fossil Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Azle beat Fossil Ridge by a goal in their previous meeting back in January, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Azle since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
