Basketball Recap: Reed Point/Rapelje Takes a Loss

Reed Point/Rapelje was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Plenty Coups Warriors, falling 70-27. The Renegades were probably out for revenge after losing 76-46 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Reed Point/Rapelje's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landen Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. That was a full 40.7% of Reed Point/Rapelje's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Marshall Ulmer was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Even though they lost, Reed Point/Rapelje smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Reed Point/Rapelje's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Plenty Coups, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.
