It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fairview had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Fort Recovery Indians. The result was nothing new for the Apaches, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Cole Mack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Fairview let Elijah Arend and Shady Fritch run wild. Arend went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Fritch went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Logan Olinger, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

The win was the seventh in a row for Fairview, bringing their record up to 22-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Recovery, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-9.

As of now, neither Fairview nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
