Baseball Recap: Segerstrom Comes Up Short

The Segerstrom Jaguars didn't have quite enough to beat the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves on Monday and fell 3-2.

Segerstrom got a good showing from Jullian Gomez, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Gomez a new career-low.

At the plate, Segerstrom saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman Saucedo, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Segerstrom has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Segerstrom will take on Tustin at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they will square off against Peninsula at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
