Basketball Recap: AGWSR Comes Up Short

AGWSR suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels 60-24. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

AGWSR dropped their record down to 8-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Gladbrook-Reinbeck, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

AGWSR and Gladbrook-Reinbeck should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. AGWSR will take on East Marshall at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday up 182 places (137 vs. 319). Similarly, Gladbrook-Reinbeck (ranked 77th) will meet South Hardin (ranked 241st) at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
