Recap: Centerville Tigers vs. Lovelady Lions

The Centerville Tigers came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 57-48 victory over Lovelady. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Centerville also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Centerville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Wade Neyland out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Neyland hasn't dropped below 15points for 18 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Newman, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.

Centerville pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Lovelady, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Centerville will be playing at home against Leon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leon has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Lovelady, they will head out on the road to take on Latexo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
