Basketball Recap: Paulding County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Paulding County won the last time they faced North Paulding and things went their way on Friday too. The Paulding County Patriots took down the North Paulding Wolfpack 67-52. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 390th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jerron Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 26 points along with eight boards and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Keen-Yean James, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Paulding County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

With the victory, Paulding County broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5. As for North Paulding, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
