Basketball Game Preview: Lindale Eagles vs. Canton Eagles

The Lindale Eagles will head out to take on the Canton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lindale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Lindale didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Brownsboro, but they still walked away with a 75-70 victory.

Van typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Canton proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Vandals 43-41. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lindale is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Canton, their record is now 11-8.

Lindale took a serious blow against Canton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 69-36. Can Lindale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
