Softball Recap: American Heritage Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

American Heritage extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 17-2 in the process. Everything went their way against the Miami Christian Victors as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The Patriots not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10th (when they won 12-2).

Adrianna Layne and Arianna Reynolds did most of the damage at the plate: Layne got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Reynolds went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits Reynolds has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Noor Dalal, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

American Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matches.

As for Miami Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

On Miami Christian's side, they saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maria Hermandez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Renata Silvas was another, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

American Heritage has already played their next game (against Northeast), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Miami Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-3 win against Academy for Innovative Education on the 28th.
