Soccer Recap: Mt. Lebanon Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Mt. Lebanon was not quite Upper St. Clair's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mt. Lebanon came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Upper St. Clair are ranked 283rd).

Mt. Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3-2. As for Upper St. Clair, with the win, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mt. Lebanon is set to challenge their familiar foe Canon-McMillan at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Upper St. Clair will square off against rival Woodland Hills at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
