Softball Recap: Ellis RVT Comes Up Short

Ellis RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Plainfield Panthers, falling 18-0. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Ellis RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Plainfield, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4.

Coming up, Ellis RVT will venture away from home to take on Putnam at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clippers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Plainfield, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-4 win against Norwich RVT on the 24th.
