Baseball Game Preview: Irving Tigers vs. Nimitz Vikings

The Irving Tigers will face off against the Nimitz Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Irving nor Nimitz posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Irving's offense. They fell 4-0 to Pearce on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Irving got a good showing from Casen Blass, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Blass has allowed since back in February.

Meanwhile, Nimitz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-1 to Richardson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Irving's loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Nimitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
