Baseball Recap: Amboy Comes Up Short

Amboy fell victim to Forreston and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Amboy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Forreston, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Amboy is taking a road trip to take on Marquette at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 0.8 runs per game this season, so the Clippers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Forreston, they will welcome Eastland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
