Preview: Mount Ida Lions vs. Taylor Tigers
The Mount Ida Lions will head out on the road to take on the Taylor Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Ida is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Mount Ida ended up a good deal behind Union Christian Academy and lost 51-36.
Meanwhile, Taylor beat Blevins 61-52 on Thursday. The victory was just what Taylor needed coming off of a 61-33 defeat in their prior match.
Mount Ida has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Taylor, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.
Mount Ida was able to grind out a solid victory over Taylor in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 58-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Ida since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
