Baseball Recap: Jay Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Jay never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Miami Wardogs by a score of 5-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Not much got past Bradee Rutherford, who gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Miami off the board. Those 13 strikeouts gave Rutherford a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Deegan Price was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Cody Whitlock was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Jay's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Miami, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Jay will venture away from home to square off against Fairland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miami, they will host Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
