Recap: Loyd Star Hornets vs. Collins Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Loyd Star Hornets, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Collins by a score of 30-28. Loyd Star's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Despite the defeat, Loyd Star saw an underclassman step up: Jordyn Kees rushed for 233 yards and four touchdowns.
Loyd Star's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Collins, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Loyd Star does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Collins will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Heidelberg at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Heidelberg will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
