Basketball Recap: Wahlert Takes a Loss

Wahlert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 60-44 fall against the Waterloo West Wahawks. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wahawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Wahlert now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Waterloo West, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Wahlert will head out on the road to square off against Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waterloo West, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-55 victory against Western Dubuque on the 18th.
