Volleyball Recap: New Albany Has No Trouble Against Southwestern

The New Albany Bulldogs got the win against the Southwestern Rebels on Monday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant New Albany was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-9, 25-12.

Davis Barber paced New Albany's offense, picking up 14 kills. Barber got some help from Garrett Skeens and his 27 assists. Skeens was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

New Albany's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Southwestern, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

New Albany didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Silver Creek on the 14th. As for Southwestern, they will challenge Jeffersonville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
