VERO BEACH, Fla. - the Indians scored 21 points in the second quarter to secure a big 37-2 victory over Wellington (Fla.) on Saturday.
Vero Beach scored on a touchdown run by 
Dalton Stokes, a touchdown pass by Stokes and a Stokes touchdown pass to 
Roosevelt Spruill in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a Stokes touchdown run in the second quarter, VB led 23-2 at the half.
The Indians expanded their lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. Vero Beach scored once in the quarter on a 
Dravious Wright touchdown run.
With the win VB extended its winning streak to five games. The Indians defeated Treasure Coast 42-9 last week.
Stokes was the top performer for Vero Beach. The junior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.
	
VB had given up an average of 8.6 points prior to the contest.
The Indians also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-14.
Vero Beach (8-1) will play a non-conference game against Santaluces next week, while Wellington (3-7) will take on Inlet Grove also in a non-conference game.
