Recap: Westchester Comets vs. Fairfax Lions
The Westchester Comets were the 14-0 winner over the Fairfax Lions when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Westchester took a hard 35-18 fall against Fairfax on Friday. Westchester has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Westchester's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Landon Davis, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown, and Dawan Scott who picked up 64 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Ivan Levant looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 195 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes. Sebastian Ikolo was in the mix as well, providing Fairfax with two touchdowns.
Westchester has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Fairfax, their victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3.
Westchester will take on Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfax, they will head out on the road to face off against Venice at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
