Basketball Game Preview: Berkley Bears vs. Chippewa Valley Big Reds

The Berkley Bears will take on the Chippewa Valley Big Reds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Berkley got the win against Harper Woods by a conclusive 59-38. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chippewa Valley). They strolled past South Lake with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 67-48. The victory was nothing new for the Big Reds as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Chippewa Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Berkley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
