Meanwhile, McFarland can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Laton. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 16, 2024.

North's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for McFarland, their win bumped their record up to 8-14-1.
