Volleyball Recap: Navarro Panthers vs. Wimberley Texans

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Navarro can now relate to. They came up short against the Wimberley Texans on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Texans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Navarro was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Wimberley work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-14.

Navarro's offense was headlined by Morgan Helms and Kate Wozniak, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They were helped by Avery Sisak and Hannah Durrett, who contributed 14 assists each.

Wimberley can attribute much of their success to Addie Laney, who had ten digs.

With the defeat, Navarro broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 32-16. As for Wimberley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 26 of their last 27 games, which provided a nice bump to their 40-3 record this season.

Navarro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wimberley, they will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Salado at 7:30 p.m. Salado will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Wimberley surely won't give up without a fight.
