Preview: Warren Bears vs. Chaminade Eagles

Two dominant signal callers in Madden Iamaleava and Seth Shigg are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Warren Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chaminade Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Warren walked away with it. They beat Oak Hills on Friday by the very same score they won with last week: 34-33. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

Warren relied on the efforts of Kelton Strickland, who rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and Iamaleava, who threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. Strickland's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Meanwhile, Chaminade didn't have too much trouble with Villa Park at home on Friday as they won 30-16. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chaminade.

Chaminade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shigg led the charge by throwing for 202 yards and a touchdown on only 19 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Niles Davis, who rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown.

Warren pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points per game. As for Chaminade, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
