Volleyball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Santa Teresa Saints

The Westmont Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Santa Teresa Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westmont is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Last Thursday, Westmont earned a 3-1 victory over Pioneer.

While Westmont might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pioneer scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 21-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Santa Teresa came up short against Christopher on Thursday and fell 3-1. While the Saints didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-19 in the first set.

Santa Teresa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.

This is the second loss in a row for Santa Teresa and nudges their season record down to 13-3. As for Westmont, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Westmont was able to grind out a solid victory over Santa Teresa in their previous meeting back in March, winning 2-0. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
