Basketball Recap: Northville Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Northville came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Salem Rocks by a score of 60-47. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-48 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Salem saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mitch Paspal dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. Paspal continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nye Turner, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Northville's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Salem, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Looking ahead, Northville will take on Canton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem, they will square off against Novi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
