Basketball Game Preview: East Clarendon Wolverines vs. Manning Monarchs

East Clarendon and Manning are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2018, but not for long. The East Clarendon Wolverines will face off against the Manning Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Clarendon is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

East Clarendon managed to keep up with Marion until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. East Clarendon came up short against Marion, falling 49-29.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Cherish Cochran, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmyne Lloyd, who earned seven points.

Meanwhile, Manning suffered their biggest loss since February 7, 2024 on Friday. They lost 59-38 to Lake City. The defeat continues a trend for the Monarchs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

East Clarendon's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Manning, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

East Clarendon beat Manning 38-29 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Does East Clarendon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Manning turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
