Softball Recap: Many Triumphs

The Many Tigers were able to grind out a solid win over the Jennings Bulldogs on Friday, taking the game 10-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

LarKaye Carter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Caroline Cedars was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Rylee Gunter was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Many's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Jennings, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Many wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-4 win against Fairview on the 21st. As for Jennings, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-4 defeat against Hicks on the 21st.
