Basketball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy lost against Salem Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Kennedy Trojans were dealt a 62-25 defeat at the hands of the Salem Academy Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Crusaders are ranked 38th).

Kennedy's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Salem Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Kennedy will challenge Gervais at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Salem Academy, they will face off against Colton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Colton sitting on four straight wins and Salem Academy on five.
