Volleyball Recap: Rigley Garrison and Lilia Ford Secure Win for Shadow Ridge

Shadow Ridge won the last time they faced Gila Ridge and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Stallions blew past the Hawks 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stallions.

Shadow Ridge never let Gila Ridge on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 28-26.

Leading Shadow Ridge to victory were Lilia Ford and Rigley Garrison. Ford had ten digs and three assists, while Garrison had 13 assists and four digs. Garrison is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Shadow Ridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last eight contests.

Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 19-5-5. As for Gila Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.

Looking ahead, Shadow Ridge will be taking part in a tournament against Corona del Sol at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Gila Ridge, after both having extra time off, they and Kofa will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
