C.B. Aycock dropped their record down to 11-13 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grace Christian Crusaders. The Golden Falcons were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Crusaders' pitchers proved too tough.

C.B. Aycock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Fricks, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Grace Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games.

On Grace Christian's side, Landon McDonald tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts McDonald has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Grace Christian got a massive performance out of Ethan Bunce, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. Jimmy Alfonsin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

As of now, neither C.B. Aycock nor Grace Christian have any future games scheduled.
