Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Christian Lions vs. Brownsburg Bulldogs

The Liberty Christian Lions and the Brownsburg Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Liberty Christian is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pendleton Heights just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 60-45 bruising from the Arabians. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Brownsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 65-58 to Ben Davis. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Liberty Christian will need focus on slowing down Michael Addison, one of several Brownsburg players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Addison, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 15 points.

Brownsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Liberty Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Liberty Christian took a serious blow against Brownsburg when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 78-42. Can Liberty Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
