Football Recap: C.A. Johnson Hornets vs. Lewisville Lions
C.A. Johnson had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-4 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 67-16 loss at the hands of the Lewisville Lions. The Hornets lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 21-14 score last time.
Although C.A. Johnson took the loss, they still got scores from Johnathon Jenkins and Elijah Harper.
As for Lewisville, the victory got them back to even at 3-3. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season so far.
Jacorreun Howze was his usual excellent self, rushing for 166 yards and five scores on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Price, who rushed for 139 yards and one TD on only 14 carries.
C.A. Johnson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-28 victory against McBee on the 10th. As for Lewisville, they have also already played their next game, a 61-26 win against Lee Central on the 10th.
