Softball Recap: Grace Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Grace waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Santa Paula Cardinals. This was payback for the Lancers, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Grace pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Paula, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace will welcome Calabasas at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Paula, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hueneme at 3:30 p.m. Hueneme has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.71 runs per game on average), something Santa Paula will no doubt try to take advantage of.
