Mesquite dropped down to 7-16-1 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 4-0 to the Arcadia Titans. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Wildcats haven't been shut out since back in March.

Mesquite saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andres Lozano, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As for Arcadia, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 6-14. The victory was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

On Arcadia's side, not much got past Brock Segui, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Mesquite off the board. Segui has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maddox Dillon was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Roen Sauerr, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mesquite is set to face off against their familiar foe Cactus Shadows at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Arcadia will take on rival Marcos de Niza at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
