Hawkins came tearing into Friday's match with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Big Sandy Wildcats 73-11. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Wildcats are ranked 1542nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
