Basketball Recap: Sparta Academy Takes a Loss

Sparta Academy came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Snook Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 34-32 on Friday. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Sparta Academy lost, don't look at Kaitlyn Johnson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 steals. That's the most steals Johnson has posted since back in November of 2023. Lucy Salter was another key player, putting up seven points and 14 rebounds.

Sparta Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Snook Christian Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Sparta Academy will face off against Monroe Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Snook Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
