Basketball Recap: Rio Hondo Prep Sets Scoring Season-High Against EF Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rio Hondo Prep). They blew past EF Academy 73-39 on Wednesday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-12.

Josh Curtis was the offensive standout of the contest as he went 5 for 6 en route to 11 points. Another player making a difference was Zack Burl, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Rio Hondo Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

With the victory, Rio Hondo Prep broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10. As for EF Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
