Softball Recap: Prattville Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Montgomery Catholic

Prattville Christian Academy won against Pike Road last Saturday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Panthers' way against the Montgomery Catholic Knights as they made off with a 12-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Alivia Messick tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Prattville Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Peyton Thrash, who fired off five RBI, three runs, and three doubles while going 4-for-4. That's the most doubles Thrash has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Chloe Hollon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

Prattville Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Prattville Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 22-5. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Montgomery Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Prattville Christian Academy Panthers face off against Tallassee Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montgomery Catholic, they will venture away from home to face off against LAMP at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
