Baseball Recap: Wake County Homeschool Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wake County HomeSchool proved they can win big on Monday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Southeast Alamance Mascot, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four contests in a row.

Wake County HomeSchool got a great performance from Connor Burcker as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Burcker has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Wake County HomeSchool saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Clark, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Clark has posted since back in April of 2025.

Wake County HomeSchool's record now sits at 18-3. As for Southeast Alamance, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Wake County HomeSchool will be taking part in a tournament against Winston Salem Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Southeast Alamance, they will venture away from home to square off against Southwestern Randolph at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
