James Island extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Lexington. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won 24 contests in a row.

James Island pushed their record up to 29-3 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lexington, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-10-1.

James Island will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
