Soccer Preview: North Springs vs. Luella
The North Springs Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Luella Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Springs has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 20.
There was early excitement for North Springs after they claimed the first goal last Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Callaway by a score of 2-1.
Meanwhile, Luella had just enough and edged Mt. Zion out 2-1 last Thursday. The victory was just what Luella needed coming off of a 13-0 defeat in their prior match.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
JONATHAN CADOREE and
LASHAYNE HIBBERT, who scored both of Luella's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
North Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Luella, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.
