Basketball Recap: NC GBB Academy National Takes a Loss

NC GBB Academy National was the 77-66 winner over Mount Zion Christian Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The NC GBB Academy National Eagles fell 81-72 to the Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Zion Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Adams, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 27 points. Chris Walker was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 boards and ten blocks.

NC GBB Academy National's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Mount Zion Christian Academy, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11.

NC GBB Academy National has already played their next contest (against Winston Salem Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mount Zion Christian Academy will face off against Quality Education Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
