Basketball Preview: River View Raiders vs. Summers County Bobcats

The River View Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Summers County Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. River View has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 572 points over their last nine matchups.

River View scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Van 86-66. River View has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Jackson Danielson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Lester, who scored 19 points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Summers County came up short against the Patriots on Saturday and fell 61-53.

River View's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Summers County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

River View beat the Bobcats 60-47 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will River View repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
