Baseball Recap: Caledonia Comes Up Short

Caledonia was the 6-5 winner over South Christian when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fighting Scots fell just short of the Sailors by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Fighting Scots just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Caledonia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for South Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-14.

Coming up, Caledonia is taking a road trip to face off against Grand Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Christian, they will be playing at home against Kelloggsville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.33 runs per game on average), something the Sailors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
